Książka przedstawiona jest w charakterze dramatu miłosnego pomiędzy dwoma dowódcami, którzy toczą ze sobą wojnę, konsekwencją sporów i nienawiści rozkwita nieszczęśliwa miłość którą kończy samobójstwo obu kochanków.
