This is my prequel story on how the birth of the first Ingalls daughter, Mary could have been like for Charles and Caroline.

Charles Ingalls wants to marry his childhood sweetheart, Caroline Quiner but her disapproving step-father, Frederick doesn't think Charles is good enough for his little girl.
