In the first tale, what starts of as a bit of banter, evolves fast into a very eventful night that Nick and Blixa will- love or hate it- remember for good. In the second, years since the first encounter, they find themselves revisiting old desires that they may never fulfil. Time is precious when there's so much to do and so little of it.

In 1967, Elaine inherits her wealthy estranged uncle's estate in Maze Hill, London. Elaine, a young teacher recently fired, decides to embrace this opportunity to take a break. The house, appearing synonymous to a castle, is older than most know, built by a Lord a long time ago, abandoned after a tragic incident. With 6 bedrooms, library, day room, winter and summer gardens, attic and a cellar, standing tall and inviting in the middle of an urban woodland and yet no creature crosses into its territory. None except Hugh, a strange but kind ruggedly handsome man. But is his kindness only a game? Is Elaine safe in his hands, tucked away in the grand house? Are these nightmares only dreams? Is Elaine safe in the bosom of Maze Hill House?

Nightman (noun) night·man | \ ˈnītmən plural nightmen 1: a man who empties privies by night, also known as a "gong-farmer". Dr. Kareem, a new doctor in London, lives in a flat that may collapse at any moment. The neighbours are vile and, worse than that, the smell- oh, that foul smell! It must be a dead animal, or mould or something blocked in the pipelines, surely? Or is it something else entirely? Something only a man, whose existence is hardly present in any provable records, could explain. A man who worked in shadow, desguised by his occupation, pushed away for his scent, cloaked by the night. Dr. Kareem, a man of Light- he likes to think of himself, begins to wonder if he should search for answers beyond science. In the dark.
