She notices how she flinches at any form of physical touch and loud noise. When Natasha notices a bruise on Y/N's neck she asks her about it and discovers that her suspicions were true.

College was going to suck and Y/n knew it. She didn't want to be there she wanted to go out and work at her father's company, like planned, to be able to do that she'd have to ace math but of course when you don't want to do something you're more likely to slack. Y/n most definitely wasn't a slacker but math just wasn't her thing and so she didn't get the best grades. Her father threatened that if she didn't get her grades up he'd cut her from his company and with that she asked for help from her math professor Mrs. Johansson who was also the principals wife. Seems innocent at first but it is far from that.
