Saanjh was still standing like a statue, completely frozen. Adhiraj walked toward her. The anger in his eyes from a few moments ago had now softened.,
"Hamse shadi kr lijiye, Saanjh"
(Marry me! saanjh)
She looked at him, and suddenly a fire of anger ignited inside her. Through her tears, she shouted,
"Aap sabne samajh kya rakha h hame, ek ne becha, dusre ne kharida aur ab aap aa gaye hame bachakar apne jaal me kaid karne k liye"
(What do you all think I am? One sold me, another bought me, and now you have come to 'save' me just to trap me in your own cage.)
"Insaan hn ham, koi chij nahi, jb jiska mann ho ham pr apna adhikar jatane aa jaye"
(I am a human being, not an object... that anyone can claim whenever they want.)
"Dekhiye..." she joined her shivering palms together, her voice breaking,
"aapne hame us insaan se bachaya, uske liye ham aapke aabhari rahenge pr ham aapse shadi nahi kar sakte hn"
(you saved me from that man, and for that I will always be grateful to you. But I cannot marry you.)
"Shadi to aap hamse karengi, apni marji se, ya phir jabardasti"
(You will marry me, either of your own will, or by force,) Adhiraj said to her in a very calm way.
For a long moment, Saanjh remained locked in his stare. Finally, she retreated two paces and spoke with trembling but firm resolve,
"Mar jayenge, pr aap jaise gunde se shadi nahi karenge"
(I'll die before I marry a goon like you)
Adhiraj let out a low, dangerous chuckle. "Fine," he murmured,
"maar dete hn"
He stopped for a moment, staring straight into her eyes. His voice became very low and scary as he added,
"Aapki family ko"
Keeping his gaze locked on her eyes, he pointed his gun toward her grandmother and said,
"Aaj ya to aapki doli uthegi hamare sath...ya aapki aankho k samne aapke ghar walo ki arthi uthegi"
(Today, either you leave this house in a wedding palanquin with me... or you will watch your family leave it in funeral processions.)
