J lives together with almost fifty boys, being the only girl among the gladers. The glade, the center of the labyrinth that she and the other runners explore every day. However, some days it seems almost impossible to find a way out. But that changes when two newcomers come into the glade, just a few hours apart. When Thomas and Teresa wake up, events seem to accelerate. There is finally hope that the gladers can finally leave the labyrinth. But should they?
