Peyton Hamilton is a girl utterly obsessed with the actor Val Kilmer. She's seen all of his movies, her dream to one day meet him. She never thinks she will, but through a turn of events occurs in a way she never thought possible. Getting ready to watch Tombstone for the millionth time, Peyton notices a scratch in her DVD that was never there. Not knowing how it occurred and hoping it doesn't skip, she inserts it.
