Over in the western side of the country there are two kingdoms only miles apart than one another. They are separated by a pair of woods and if you are ever caught walking through the forest, you might as well consider yourself dead. These two kingdoms have been at war for years, both fighting over some unknown reason. All that is known is that, if you cross in the border of Black or Rayne, don't say that you were ever in the other. Xander Davey Black is prince of the Black kingdom. He quite shy and polite and he doesn't like to come out of the castle very often, no matter how much his parents beg for him to. They're hoping that he'll soon find a lovely princess so that they can finally hand over the kingdom to him. He, on the other hand, would rather not. He's happy the way he is and usually to get away from his parents, he goes and hides in the forest nearby. Vladmir Xavier Rayne is the only prince of the Rayne kingdom. Unlike Xander, he's more outgoing and doesn't fear what his parents say. He's very ignorant and ignores most of the laws in the Rayne kingdom, given the fact that he can get away with a lot more than he should. He feels like something is missing in his life though and he spends time in the forest just hoping that he can come across what he's looking for. By a chance of luck, these two princes meet and things begin to figure themselves out. What happens when one prince falls for the other and the fate of their relationship is left up to the hands of the feuding families?

Prince Xander Black wasn't expecting war, but just a week after he and Scarlette became newlyweds, his parents hear the rumor that Prince Rayne was at the masquerade. They want their son to prove himself to them so they declare war. Xander, not wanting to go to war with his lover, finds himself torn between Scarlette and Vladmir. Prince Vladmir Rayne begins having feelings for the lovely Layne when war is the declared. He says that he shall fight in his father's name, but he too fears what shall happen. Layne wants to be by his side, but Vlad fears what will happen to the girl who he now feels close to. The last war caused his father's death, but will he too meet the same fate?
