Nobody was more surprised about this turn of events than she was. Problem was, things aren't ever that simple for a demigoddess. Monsters? Standard demigod fare, she could handle that. Homework? Now, that as actually an issue. An army set to invade camp any day now and kill them all? That maybe took slight precedence over the whole 'homework' thing. Maybe. But a very, very beautiful girl with deadly hands who hated her brother and made Mari's heart somersault every time she talked? Oh, gods. Yup. She was a goner.

Mice were common creatures inside the homes of District Nine. A constant reminder of their failure during the rebellion. Originally released by their oppressors as a form of biological weapons, it wasn't uncommon to see their descendant's scurrying the dirt streets. When the Capitol learned of them being easily slayed during the war, they modified the failed jabberjays to attack anyone who harmed the disease carriers. A trait that the Mockingjay sadly kept. In the spring of 2014, HYDRA-occupied SHIELD is in full swing, working underground to power the monster that is the Winter Soldier. Following in his shadow is their latest creation. Immortal, obedient and a murder machine, the child known simply as 'The Faceless Girl' cleans up any loose threads the Winter Soldier may have missed. She is a ghost story inside of a ghost story. With the fall of SHIELD, however, The Winter Soldier and The Faceless Girl run from HYDRA. They are now defectors of everything they know. It is simply James and Isabell on the road, now.
