Alex is very jumpy but, in the dark, it's hard to notice. At least for Miles.

It's March 2020 and the UK is on the verge of locking down due to Coronavirus. On a night out, Miles runs into Alex and they end up back at his place to sort out their differences. A bout of food poisoning renders Alex helpless and unable to leave the house. The country is plunged into lockdown and Alex and Miles are stuck together. With so much resentment between them after their break-up in 2018, they vow to be nothing but housemates while they both write the new albums they need to deliver. As time goes on and the lockdown never seems to end, will they be able to keep out of each other's way, or will their feelings get the better of them, and will they ever get to the bottom of what drove them apart in the first place?

"'Milex is real,'" he read aloud to himself. The singer bellowed with laughter, startling Miles."It kind of is real in a way, ain't it?" He gave a crooked smile, looking at Miles over his sunglasses. Miles hesitated, was he supposed to answer that? "Like, we're bezzies, aren't we? Proper good friendship going on, ain't there?" Miles attempts to set aside the subtle crushes that he has towards Alex, believing it is just a peculiar phase. However, nearly eight years later and after several relationships, Miles isn't coping well with Alex sharing an apartment with him and the feeling certainly haven't simmered down.

Alex is a shy and anxious 16-year old, Miles is a 15-year old new kid at Alex's school that is liked by everyone he meets.
