(Y/N) was your average teenage orphan. She's always known she was different from the rest of the bullies held at that rotting building, though. Her parents had been killed in a fire at a young enough age to forget, leaving her to an abusive orphanage. For eleven years, now, she's been beaten up and down by everyone around her and she's reaching her breaking point. That is, until, a unique family enters through the doors of the institution in search of a new daughter. (Y/N) could be the one . . . and if she is, this new life could change her forever. She always felt she was born for something greater . . . This is a fan fiction for Gorillaz based off the story of an artsy female pronoun-ed reader. Obviously it doesn't have to be a female pronoun-ed reader, but the character's world does revolve around art. You can shape this character in however way you want and shit, considering it's based off the reader in this particular universe I made for the Gorillaz. I just wanted to fill in a few gaps to offer some ideas and make it easier to write (also, most Gorillaz fanfics, I've noticed, are read by females, so I just thought, y'know). It takes place in between phase three and phase four, after Plastic Beach and before Humanz. I hope you enjoy :)
