The story revolves around a young woman called Safeerah who lives in the Asfuur pack located in "the forgotten lands". Every ten years, as is traadition, one of the families of the Asfuur has to sacrifice their daughter to the Ko-naans - the most powerful shapeshifters in the world, and Alphas of the Asfuur tribe - to show their gratitude for the Ko-naans protection of their lands. The chosen girl is guaranteed a life where she won't need anything. She is gurananteed a life in protection and out of danger. She is guaranteed a life of love, warmth and cherishment with her mate. He wrapped his arms around my waist yet again. My eyes widened as tingles exploded throughout my body yet again. Trying to squirm out of the strangers grip, I began to panic. "Mine." He growled out again tightening his hold on my waist to a point where it hurt. Panic consumed my veins. My mind going all over the place. This is it.
