As an avid fan of Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon? on Star Plus, there were many moments where I felt the story could have been better. This is my attempt at taking a divergent route from what was shown on TV. This is my take at what the Arshi story would have looked like had the story taken a turn after the temple bandage scene. At this point Arnav and Khushi realize there is an unnamed tug between the two of them. It does not have a name yet. They are both engaged or to be engaged to other people.

Arranged marriage was an age-old story that Khushi, the youngest of the infamous Gupta family, who revolutionized and dominated the trading market for generations, knew well. For it was the only thing she heard growing up. But that neither prepared her nor comforted her as she got ready that morning. It was an important day, a day where she would trade her surname for a new one, her silence for a new chance, her respect for a new hope, her life for another. It was a day of contracts, both new and old. As she hid behind the traditional red shawl, knowing that the whole world would be watching her, waiting to pounce, she wondered why her mother never told her about any of the good marriages. The ones that worked out. The ones that had hope. The ones that had love. Probably because they don't exist, Khushi thought to herself. Only, destiny had believed otherwise. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is a stand alone story that has no connection with the original show, Iss Pyar Ko Kya Naam Doon, except for the names of the lead characters. All other content of this story belongs strictly to the author, Archi. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- #1 in ArnavSinghRaizada - 04/12/2019 #1 in KhushiKumariGupta - 18/01/2020 #1 in ArHi - 20/05/2020

Blinded by misunderstanding and anger, Arnav forces Khushi to marry him on the night of his brother and her sister's wedding. He makes it clear that they will be together for only six months and this whole thing is nothing but a contract to him - Neither will he ever accept her as his wife nor will she ever attain the status of his wife. They will be nothing but a pretense of a happily married couple. Then something happens. Something that shows Arnav that the truth is not always what we see but some times, it is something that we fail to perceive with the naked eye. And with that realization - heartbroken and guilty - Arnav sets on the path of redeeming everything he messed up. ___________ Author's note: This story has gone through a heavy editing. I was unsatisfied of the way I wrote the story - both the language and character development seemed weak to me. This is why, you can call this version the revised version of Daayre. While the main plot has remained the same, I have essentially changed few scenes completely. The characters, in my opinion, are now far more stronger and better. I hope you like this version just as much as I do. :)

(IPKKND AU) Some relationships are tied in extraordinary ways. They begin with conflict. They grow in hatred. They stumble, they fall, and yet they remain. The hatred grows as the relationship deepens. Until one day, even hatred itself is reluctant to grow, and only the bond remains. But it's a bond of hatred. And isn't it naive to have expectations from a relationship founded in hatred?
