Alex is going to every dance that the waldorf charter schools are holding in her country, since she goes to the most waldork school ever. In a class of only 19 including her, and even though she's in 7th grade everyone stays in the same room at the same desk with the same people for every class. But when she goes to one dance in particular, when the twins from her class go. it brings her back to crushing on her summer crush, which could be bad for her as in popularity. because she has also had a crush on at least half the boys in her class, but this one twin, keeps coming back to make her stay up late and contemplate life.
