He wanted to be seen for who he was. He was Wilbur goddamn Minecraft, and he refused to let himself be a side note in someone else's story. Villains had one right; the right to choose a nemesis. A thesis to their anti-thesis. A rival. His subordinates always questioned why he chose Magpie. He never bothered to explain. He had met the hero once, and that was all it took. The eldest of the Minecraft children was so much more than anyone realized. There was a deep running fury hidden under his mask. The hero was fast approaching his breaking point. That, is why Quackity chose him. Wilbur Minecraft was going to fall soon, and he was going to fall hard. And Quackity would be right there waiting, ready to catch his songbird when he did. The ground was soft as Wilbur lay there. He opened his eyes and looked around, he was in the middle of nowhere. He felt disoriented as the wind brushed past his cheek. It took him a second to adjust but the realisation hit him almost immediately. Wasn't he supposed to be dead? ----- This story's 'Chapters' are more like scenes so don't ask why they're so short.
