At just twenty-four, Olivia Johnson is one of the youngest recruits to ever join Station 118. Sharp-minded, quick-witted, and top of her class at the academy, Olivia seems like she has everything under control. But behind her polished exterior lies a lifetime of scars from an abusive home - the kind she never talks about. She's built walls high enough to keep even fire out. When she joins Bobby Nash's team, Olivia quickly learns that not all fires can be put out with water - some burn from the inside out. Between daring rescues, emotional calls, and the relentless teasing of Evan "Buck" Buckley, Olivia's sarcasm becomes both her shield and her sword. As she begins to form bonds she never thought she'd have - with Hen's quiet wisdom, Chimney's humor, and Eddie's understanding - Olivia starts to realize that family doesn't always mean blood... and sometimes, healing means letting your armor crack. But when a call hits too close to home, forcing her to face the ghosts she thought she'd buried, Olivia will have to decide whether she's ready to let her team see the fire she's been hiding all along.

Danielle Grant, 24, has just landed her dream job as a Crisis Intervention Social Worker at LAFD's Station 118. But her excitement is short-lived-because her new captain is Bobby Nash, the father who hasn't recognized her since a fire took half their family seven years ago. Bobby's memory of Danielle was erased by trauma, and in his grief, he rebuilt his life-with a new wife, new stepkids, and no space for the daughter he forgot. Now, forced to work beside him, Danielle struggles to balance professionalism with heartbreak, hiding her true identity and the scars of her past. Enter Evan "Buck" Buckley-Bobby's golden boy and fiercely loyal protégé. Buck instantly feels threatened by Danielle's presence, and the two clash with intense chemistry and simmering resentment. Watching from the sidelines is Eddie Diaz, Buck's best friend and a devoted single dad. Eddie sees through Danielle's walls, and their connection builds slowly-until one kiss changes everything. As emotions spiral and lines blur, Danielle finds herself torn between two men-and two futures. What starts as rivalry, resentment, and unresolved grief slowly evolves into something unexpected: love, healing, and the possibility of a family made from the ashes. In the end, maybe love isn't a choice. Maybe it's a collision. And maybe the only way forward is together. Book cover and synopsis are generated by ChatGPT. Eleanor Nash never knew her father - only his name: Robert Nash. What she doesn't realize is that he's Bobby Nash, a respected fire captain in Los Angeles. When she sees him on the news, curiosity sparks something deep inside her. Leaving behind the life she built with her late husband, Eleanor moves to L.A. with her two daughters in search of answers. There, she not only meets the man who might be her father, but also his new wife... and one of his colleagues, who may just change everything. side note I know it doesn't all add up compared to the series. But if you look at some of the characters and their story. Then none of the stories add up. So this is just an alternate universe, where SWAT, The Rookie and 9-1-1 are in the same world and can know each other. There are a number of familiar pieces from the series in it. But then completely fitting into my story.
