This year for NaNoWriMo, I am writing a short story anthology. It will feature thirty or so short stories (my hope is to write one per day to fulfill my 1,667 per day word requirement) about varying things. Each morning, I will randomly select a number between one and thirty and I will look at the corresponding list of first lines I will have. I will take that line and write a short story using it and then the next day I will do the process over again (some stories might relate to each other, some might not). Anyway I will edit the story for that day and post it here. It may not be posted exactly on the corresponding day, but in the end there will be thirty short stories. P.S. Although these are somewhat edited they are still rough drafts so please treat them as such.

The problem with the world is that no one ever shuts up. What people don’t know, is that it’s even louder when no one is actually talking. This world is deafening, filled with thoughts of people in pain, dealing with the constant cruelties of their everyday life, and I hear it all. I guess that's why, up until a week ago, I was locked up in a mental institution. (Summary is a work in progress... it doesn't have the plot in it at all). Updates? Will not happen often.
