One day, MK came back from noodle deliveries with Monkey King's staff, saying the Demon Bull King was free, and from that point and before, I caught the interest of two certain monkeys, while also discovering things about myself that I didn't know about.

The reader is MK's non-identical twin sister. When Pigsy both sent the two out for noodle deliveries, MK went to deliver his stack of noodles, while you did your deliveries, and while you did your deliveries, you found a staff, for a second, you thought it was Monkey King's staff, but it was black highlighted with gold. Without thinking, you picked it up and felt a surge of power through you, and that's when you met Macaque. He looked almost like Monkey King, but with black fur. He saw the staff in your hands and explained to you that only he could pick it up, but when he saw you holding it, he decided to take you under his wing, and make you his successor. So from that point, you trained to be a warrior and fought demons along with your brother. Macaque loses his memory of everything post the start of his big fight with Wukong after the Fire separates him and LBD. This is a shock to everyone involved, except Macaque who is just confused.

Before the events of MK's journey, reader moves into the city, and works at a cafe as the baker. She keeps her powers a secret with the idea that magic does not exist, and her empathy abilities are different compared to a diagnosis. She lives a peaceful life until she encounters the Monkey King which makes her question herself throughout the story. He helps her unlock her true potential, and during their time together they gain feelings for one another. However, one of them is not being honest with themselves thus causes a rift between the two throughout the story allowing another player (Macaque) to swoop in for reader's comfort.

Macaque and Monkey King have been trying to bond together again by doing an activity together every day. Today they were meditating to restore their energy after an intense training session while the rest of the gang hang out on Flower Fruit Mountain. Until a demon decided to attack the mountain and MK and Mei forcefully woke Macaque and Monkey King from their meditation in desperation...

During a battle, Macaque gets injured, the group does not yet trust Macaque and is still skeptical so they leave the monkey king to watch over him, not only to make sure he is well healed but also so he doesn't run off or do anything destructive. The healing process is slow and painful, it hurts to even use his power. He finds himself unable to even move from his bed some morning. On the verge of death, Sun Wukong is worried for his ex-best friend.

This story takes place when Macaque and Mk first meet (S1 E9) Instead of just taking Monkey King's powers from Mk upfront Macaque decides to earn Mk's trust, so he stays his mentor instead of betraying him. Mk grew to trust Macaque, so he decided to bring him to Pigsy's Noodles, the rest is for you to find out!
