This story is set in modern day Philadelphia and has most of the characters from EG's novel as well as characters from Sandy Welch's adaptation. The title of the story is inspired by John Mayer's song of the same name (which reminds me a lot of John and Margaret's relationship). I hope you all enjoy it. I appreciate all feedback.

Lily Spacey from 2011 finds herself in world of North and South is she going to screw up the story or is she going to save it. This was written a while ago well some of it was anyway I got bored of watching it on my computer took the plunge and posted it.

Based on the classic novel North & South by Elizabeth Gaskell, this modern story of John and Margaret takes them on a magical adventure filled with intrique, suspense, and romance. John Thornton spends all his waking hours working in the family business. In his leisure time, he hunts for antique books. When one literally falls on him, he is shocked to find the ancient looking text is written about him. Margaret Hale has no time for love. Having started a bakery with her best friend Tara, she needs to concentrate fully on that venture for now. But at her cousin's wedding reception, a stranger approaches and explains he is the man she will marry in three months time.

"I want my very own castle; I want tons of servants and men throwing themselves at my feet. I want to be pampered and rich. I want my own bloody fairy tale!" Unfortunately even wishes never went smoothly for Sarah. Instead of getting her happily ever after Sarah was unceremoniously dumped into a world that was both completely alien and chock full of intrigue and peril as well. She got the castle and servants all right but she also got plenty more that wasn't listed in the programme. Now all she could do was bide her time and pray for a way out of the mess before it was too late. Iain McLaughlin swore he'd never marry an Englishwoman. Infamous as the Black Wolf of the Highlands the gruff warrior was used to having everything his own way. But circumstances had a way of changing in the blink of an eye. Even a great laird isn't immune to the dictates of fate. So now he had no choice but to ride forth and claim his prize, whether he wants it or not however is another matter entirely.

This story is based on the novel by Elizabeth Gaskell, North and South, and the adaptation by the same name.

A short story about being romanced.

Ophelia Masters can't seem to get this love thing correct. She wants a normal man, but they are so mind-numbingly boring, that she's given up on them, too.
