Meet Elle and Tomomi. Elle is an 18-year-old student, in her last year of high school. She's a fragile, small girl, with no particular talents. When her and her brother were much younger, they were involved in a car wreck that tore their family apart. Now Elle struggles with money between keeping her broken brother alive, and keeping herself fed. Tomomi is also a high school student, at the age of sixteen. Her parents rave about her to everyone, saying how smart she is; how far she'll go. But with a terrible love life, and a crappy job, Tomomi is unsure of her future; if she'll do anything special at all. The two meet one day, and promise each other that they'll do better from then on. But Elle and Tomomi quickly find out how hard it is to keep promises.
