King Dice has been friends with the Devil for a long time, though he longs for it to be more. Or so he thought after the fight with the cup brothers and the Devil calling him a no-good lackey, he questions if the Devil had ever even cared for him as he thought, he decides to move back to the mainland, off of Inkwell, getting a new job at a Casino. The Devil is distraught when he finds out his long-time crush has left, not even bothering to say goodbye, so he sets out to find him. The only issue? Even after he finds him King Dice still wants nothing to do with the Devil. And when the Devil forcibly takes him back to the Casino, well things get interesting.

King Dice has been by the Devil's side for over fifteen years now. Although the casino seems to be a happy place, there is always a front to keep. So this is a story (no shit Sherlock) about cuphead and mug man being raised by the devil and king dice and how things might be different if they were raised like this. I got inspired by a few other "cuphead family au" fanfics I've been able to find so I thought I'd take a crack at it !
