[HIATUS] In a world where four genders exist: male, female, and the rare bloomers and pollinators. Gyu-min has a problem. As a bloomer, he should emit the scent of fragrant flowers, attracting the powerful pollinators with whom they share a symbiotic bond. But Gyu-min is different; he's an odorless bloomer, a rarity among rarities, forcing him to live as an ordinary man in the entertainment industry. For years, Gyu-min harbored an unspoken love for his co-actor, Kang Seong-jin, a pollinator destined for greatness. But one fateful night changes everything. Drunk and disoriented, Gyu-min mistakenly enters the wrong hotel room, one left open due to a booking mix-up. Inside, his dormant bloomer instincts awaken, releasing a fragrance so intoxicating that the man beside him, weakened by desire, succumbs to nature's call. The night passes in a haze, and by morning, Gyu-min flees without ever seeing the man's face. Weeks later, a shocking revelation--he's pregnant. But his joy turns to heartbreak when he sees Seong-jin's engagement to his long-time rival, Lee Shi-hwan, plastered across every screen. Determined to escape scandal and protect his unborn child, Gyu-min terminates his contract and leaves for abroad. Six years later, he returns, no longer the naïve young actor who once dreamed of love. Beside him stands a striking boy with eyes eerily similar to the man from that fateful night. As the entertainment world buzzes with his comeback, secrets begin to unravel. Who is the father of his child? And why does Kang Seong-jin, a Movie Emperor, seem so drawn to the little boy with his own fragrance? A story of love, betrayal, and fate--can a bloomer who was once overlooked finally take root in the heart of the one he loves?

A misguidedly idealistic high school student founds a club to teach his classmates philosophy; when it becomes a cult, he must change course before the whole school drinks the Kool-Aid. Frank can think of no better way to prove his classmates have no moral compass than to write a manifesto satirically arguing for the virtues of selfishness; when this attempt at shining a light on his classmates' behavior is taken at face value, he creates a club to spread his teachings, hoping his ironies will be more obvious on a grander scale. The authoritarian rule of law he establishes meets little resistance from his club members, even as he wonders privately when they'll have enough and choose a more virtuous path. While Frank earnestly seeks to help his classmates, his methodology proves misguided in practice, and Frank must find where to draw the line before he permanently ruins his beloved high school. But then again, being a cult leader is too much fun to pass up... You Must Remember This adapts the foundation of Catch-22 in a high school setting, applying the same notion of dystopian bureaucracy to lampoon Silicon Valley's competitive spirit and, in these politically charged times, comment on the fragility of our own democracy. CW: minor character death (non-graphic), dark psychological themes (e.g. gaslighting), authoritarian regimes (including references to communism and Nazism) "Amazing, terrible, bourgeois horror" "At first I thought the story was about silicone implants" "I highly recommend this book to anyone who loves the classic American English course reading list or just wants to read something that will make them think."
