Winifred (Winnie) Freeman is a 17 year old girl living in the 1920's of Philadelphia. The only things she has ever cared for were her brother, Eddie, and her music. When Eddie is murdered and her instrument is destroyed, Winnie falls into depression and desperation severe enough to compel her to make a deal with the most powerful witch doctor of rural Pennsylvania. She agrees to time travel to modern day Philadelphia and bring back a pure, virgin vessel for her brother to be resurrected in. A little murder seems simple enough to restore the order of her life that her brother brought. But little does she know just how many sacrifices she's agreed to.

The story of a boy with self proclaimed "anxiety issues" dealing with the many many struggles of life; all the while trying to discover his feelings for a girl who comes from an equally as troubled background
