After nine hard years of school and training, Will is finally a doctor. He's the happiest he has ever been. He's saving lives and living his dream. He couldn't imagine anything better. Nico doesn't have much. His sister and mother are dead. They have been for years. At 26, the most valuable thing he owns is his motorcycle. Nico diAngelo, a 15 year old orphan, has had his family destroyed twice. The only family member he has left is his half-sister Hazel Levesque. They were adopted by a master criminal who has never been caught for any crime he has committed. Their "father" is always drunk and has been doing drugs since before he adopted Nico and Hazel, he forces them to become petty thieves, and if they don't do what he tells them to he beats them. But he also uses anyone they care about as leverage to keep them in check. So what will happen when they becomes friends with a group at their high school even though it will put them and all of their friends in danger. When he meets his new roommate, Will Solace, they have a rough time getting used to each other. Will's sunny personality annoys Nico, and Nico's dark introverted ways aren't Will's cup of tea. Meanwhile, Nico is becoming conflicted with his feelings between Will and another guy at his apartment complex--Percy Jackson. His frequent nightmares don't help much, either. Will tries to comfort him, but Nico is just detached. Will would do anything for Nico, and Nico eventually learns that Will is his Solace. (Pun intended) Throw in a dog, a terrible new neighbor, a crazy 'ex,' and plenty of other surprises, and join Nico's adventure with his new roommate. IT GETS BETTER AS IT GOES ON, PROMISE.
