The two get off to a rocky start, and The Doctor begins to wonder if she's made a fatal mistake by inviting the great sociopath along, but things begin to change. Who knew that under all that crime solving and apathy there's a real human?

When he received an SOS on his psychic paper from a place far from Earth, The Doctor couldn't resist. After all, he didn't think he was going to be drawn into a unique kidnapping. The Extranei were drawn to Harmony Smith since she was born; only, it was hard to get possession of her. Half Timelord, the teen was significantly great at slipping into hiding, and sometimes even changing her face. When they finally got her, she turned to the one man she knew could help... only, she'd only heard of him in legends. The Doctor. ** short story
