When Prince Ben invites five Villain Kids to Auradon, everyone expects the children of Maleficent, Jafar, the Evil Queen, and Cruella de Vil. Nobody expected the fifth: Zachary Sparrow, the son of the legendary (and notoriously unreliable) Captain Jack Sparrow.
While Mal and the group are focused on the Fairy Godmother's wand, Zack has his own secret mission. He's searching for the "Eye of the Abyss," a legendary cursed gem rumored to be hidden within the Auradon Museum-the only thing his father claims can pay off a "spiritual debt" to a certain locker at the bottom of the sea.
The Meeting of Two Worlds
Zack's plans for a quiet heist are ruined when he crosses blades with Mia Turner (daughter of Will and Elizabeth). As the top student in Auradon's fencing program and a stickler for the rules she secretly hates, Mia is the first person to see through Zack's "charming fool" act.
But when an ancient pirate curse begins to seep into the waters of Auradon-turning the idyllic kingdom into a playground for ghost ships and sea monsters-Zack and Mia realize their parents' past is coming back to haunt them.
Key Plot Beats
The Infiltrator: Zack joins the Core Four, acting as their "unintentional" distraction. While they plot, he sings "Fool's Gold," charming the student body while simultaneously pickpocketing the keys to the forbidden archives.
The Rivalry: Mia Turner is tasked with "rehabilitating" Zack. Their chemistry is explosive; she wants to save Auradon, and he wants to save his own skin-until he realizes he might actually care about the girl holding the sword to his throat.
The Sea's Revenge: When Uma and her pirate crew catch wind of Zack's search for the Eye of the Abyss, a three-way race begins between the VKs, the Auradon Royals, and the Sea Three.
The Choice: In the climax, Zack must decide if he's going to be the "dishonest man" his father raised him to be, or if he'll stay and fight alongside Mia and the Core Five to protect their new home.
