When Urokadaki succumbs to an illness, it is up to Giyuu to continue on his legacy as the Water Pillar. He was left alone, lost in grief and guilt as he searched for someone to take his place. He thought he would never succeed... Until he met Tanjiro and Nezuko.

Shinobu noticed a different customer in the cafe this time, Giyuu Tomioka. Something that she did not realise was that he was also her favourite idol from an unidentified band named 'Hashiras'. After a long time, a girl caught Tomioka's attention, it was none other than Shinobu Kocho. Later in his concert, he noticed that she was one of his fans. They both had an interaction, Shinobu revealed that she liked Giyuu Tomioka not realising that she just confessed it was him... But a part of Shinobu was looking for a better man, who would love her with all his heart, but she never even talked to him. So Giyuu decides to get closer to her as her idol and maybe make her fall for him

Giyuu lay dying on his 25th birthday recounting all the good times he spent with his friends before and after the final battle with the demon king and his servants. Yet, as he takes his last breaths and finally finds solace in the life he's lived, he is mysteriously transported back a whole 8 years in the past.
