A soft gasp came from the other end of our line, where another nine, a dark haired girl, was standing. "Your shirt. Why, might I ask, is there a black splotch on the sleeve of your shirt." "I-I d-don't know, ma'am." Poor Clarissa. We didn't really communicate much, but I knew her well enough to know she was a bit clumsy. During private study last night, she had accidentally spilt a drop of ink on her shirt. Knowing the consequences of damaging school property, she had been too scared to tell the staff, and had just continued to wear it, praying that the teachers wouldn't notice. But they obviously had. The teacher grabbed Clarissa by the hair, and began to drag her off into the hallway, towards the principals office. Her eyes widened in terror as she realised where they were going, but she didn't dare say a word, in hope that she may be let off easy. But we all knew she wasn't coming back. No one ever came back after going into that dreaded office.
