This book is a little outdated and will be getting a rewrite soon! ------------------ Fighting, dragons were always fighting in the Rainforest. Not physically, but verbally. The Rainforest Kingdom was being torn apart by its residents. The RainWing's and NightWing's. Queen Dandelion and King Palmtree are doing nothing to calm down their tribe, so, someone else has to. Lavender is an seven year old dragonet who belongs to both tribes. She's a hybrid, born from her RainWing mother and NightWing father. Her life is wonderful, at least in her family and small village close to the edge of the Rainforest. But, she's starting to notice the change within everyone, as if they know something is coming, something bad. Lavender wants to keep her kingdom safe, just like all dragons do, but she also wants to keep everyone connected and stop them from being torn apart. Will she be able to fix the ties that brought the RainWing's and NightWing's together? Or will they be split apart and she'll be stuck between torn sides. ------------------------ The Wings of Fire series is written by Tui T. Sutherland and this is just a fan-fiction based off of her series. No characters within this book are from the cannon books and it doesn't follow the cannon timeline. If you're reading this on a site other than Wattpad, then you're reading a stolen version from a site who has taken my work without my permission.

𝙄𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙢𝙞𝙙𝙨𝙩 𝙤𝙛 𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙩 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙬𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙬𝙖𝙧, 𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙬𝙖𝙠𝙚𝙣𝙨... Decades of wars and unrest have clawed at the sides of Pyrrhia's dragons for as long as they can remember, and the tales of true peace and dragonets of prophecy are simply whispers of the past. Shrike has never been regarded by his tribe as a real SkyWing. His mother fell ill and passed away when he was a dragonet, and his father, a royal SeaWing, was executed by his dictatorial queen as soon as it was found out that he'd had an affair with a common SkyWing. Still, Shrike remains tethered to the Queen and his tribe. Years of lost wars, unfulfilled treaties, and an excessively lavish lifestyle lived by their ruler, Queen Markhor, have left the SkyWing tribe impoverished and starving, and Shrike, the princess's personal bodyguard, has witnessed the consequences of the Queen's ignorance firsthand. A diplomacy meeting with the SeaWings gone wrong erupts in yet another bloody war, and Shrike is swept up in battle before finding himself caught in between the jaws of the political turmoil that seem to be tearing his tribe apart from the inside out. To make matters worse, a warning delivered years before by the continentally renowned prophet, Hereafter, is unraveling before Shrike's eyes, and its exhortations seem like an echo chamber awfully reminiscent of his own life. That coupled with a newfound power in his claws leaves him spiraling and wondering one question: could 𝘩𝘦 be the terror of talons? ✦ Please read the introductory pages! They will be EXTREMELY informative for understanding the basics of Pyrrhia's situation and the timeline leading up to this story. Consider leaving a vote if you enjoy this story! Constructive criticism and other comments are always welcome.

No one really paid much attention to Shadowscale, after all, what is a prince good for anyways? He couldn't become ruler of the RainWings and NightWings, that curse would go to his younger sister, Princess Firefly. He knew his mother cared for him, but Queen Glory was always busy. When she wasn't seeing her subjects, she was preparing Firefly to become Queen one day. He always tried to make himself look as small and insignificant as possible, he wanted to be ordinary. After all, he hasn't been since his birth. Born under the light of two and a half moons, he had received the ancient NightWing powers of legends, learning to harness them in secret under the watchful eyes of Moonwatcher, who shares similar abilities. However, his are different. He can read minds normally. As for prophecy, he could only see three possible futures. One was good, the other 2 were awful... In order to prevent the bad ones, he must become something he never thought he'd ever become. *** "Dad?" Shadowscale's voice called out, gently and silently like the wind. The NightWing's ears perked up as he turned his head towards his son. "Oh, Shadow, what are you doing at this hour? Aren't you supposed to be sleeping?" "Don't NightWings sleep during the day now?" Shadowscale retorted causing Deathbringer to bark out a laugh. "Touche my son! But still, what do you need?" His small talons where shaking as the flashes of fire and death flashed before his eyes, as if reminding him why he needed to do this. Why he needed to ask this. Because if he didn't... it could possibly be the end of Pyrriah. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath. When he opened them again, his amber eyes where full of determination. "Teach me how to become an assassin." WoF doesn't belong to me! Tui. T. Sutherland owns it. I only own the plot and some Characters!

A researcher caught in a middle of a continent-spanning war. Dropped off in a world only to realize that his knowledge is two thousand years out of date. Join the story of our researcher, "Hornbill," as he embarks on a journey across Pyrrhia. Read through the personal accounts of his journal, where he becomes an unexpected companion to the legendary Dragonets of Destiny. Dragged along in their quest to end the war, Hornbill's original mission of data collection takes a backseat, replaced by a newfound role as a reliable ally and assisting the Dragonets of Destiny to pivot the fate of a war-torn continent. #1 on dragonetsofdestiny at August 29, 2023 Writer's Notes: This story was inspired by another fanfiction titled "WoF: Lightning Striking" by Thegamersdragon on fanfiction.net. I would just like to thank them since that one fanfic made me dive deeper into other WoF fanfics and gave me the inspiration to make my first story, which is this one. This will be a journey not just for our main character but for me as well. So thank you for joining me in this adventure, and I hope you enjoy the story!

Basically the title, but I have a twist from the ordinary: be sure to check it out! Cover art from the wiki I, of course, am not Tui T. Sutherland, and I did not write Wings of Fire, and have no claim to the series or any of the characters, places, plots, or other ideas
