Somehow, she balanced everything and still seemed to have everything put together exactly how she wanted it. Marinette is also more successful than she had hoped, owning her own fashion empire to rival Gabriel Agreste's. Hundreds of stores selling her designs had popped up around the globe and her name had quickly wormed inside every household and everyone knew who she was. They were both famous, and both committed to their passion. So much so, that it left almost no time for anything else. Fortunately, worlds often collide, and fashion and fencing meet.

Essentially, the bad guy's portal has sent Supergirl into the Marvel Universe.
