Running away Percy is hunted by monsters almost every day for ten years with his sword Riptide, it was sally's parting gift to Perseus, it was the only thing he had left of his mother. Up on Olympus, the Gods noticed a lot of monsters gathering together at one location at a time before they were all destroyed. The Gods were curious and sent some demigods to the last known location of the monster gathering to find out what was happening. Meanwhile all the Olympians were looking for the lost son of the sea. Zeus and Hades were surprisingly helping with the search because they saw how bad the death of sally had affected Poseidon, the only thing he had left was his lost son. Percy Jackson. I’m emotionally unstable, sporting painful bruises, and scarred for life, but thank the Gods I’m not burnt. I chuckled at my sarcastic thoughts. “Don’t worry about it.” The man immediately removed his hand, but instead of letting the subject drop, he pushed forwards with even more enthusiasm. “Are you sure? You look like you’re in pain.” It was as if he was genuinely worried about me, but I knew from experience just how good some people can be at faking emotions. “I’m fine.” I subtly tried to put space between us by taking a small step backwards. I made sure to avoid his eye contact at all times, but his hands were another matter. My eyes seemed drawn to them. They looked soft and warm, very different from the hands I was used to seeing. This man’s hands looked like they’d seen their fair share of hard work, but somehow they still came off as gentle and caring. I had never wanted to hold someone’s hand as badly as in that moment.

Yet, it didn't feel like victory at all to Percy. Percy decided to walk out of the camp barrier, to escape from the memories, from the pain. He didn't care where, as long as he could get far away. He wanted it to be done. The guilt, the sadness, he wanted it to be over, he didn't want to feel any of that. Unbeknownst to him, he ended up on the streets of Gotham city. Where he encountered the hero dressed in black with a bat symbol on his chest. He was saved by the Dark Knight himself, the hero of Gotham. What could possibly go wrong? Or... right?
