"You're really a strange character," Eustace said, casually moving back to his desk. "No offense. I've seen quite a lot in my short time alive. But I've never seen a..." "A black vampire?" Diallo smirked, walking inside. The apartment was small, but that never bothered him. He remembered all the times he would pass time in coffins. "Well," The man's shoulders raised when he finished his sentence for him. "Most vampires became known in Europe, where there weren't anyone with your skin color. I haven't read any books about vampires of any other ethnicity. Although that could just be due to the culture of those times." "I'm fully aware that there aren't any history books about me," Diallo said. He leaned closer to the man, fully aware of what his presence could do to a mere human. "Is my appearance going to be a deal breaker for you?" "N-Not at all," Eustace shook his head. A shiver went down the spine of the thin man, and a hint of a heavy scent subtly wafted through the small room. Diallo couldn't help but smile at that reaction. He knew exactly what that smell meant. This truly was turning into an interesting mission. * Eustace Mickle is the last known member of the Mickle family: one of the last Alchemist's of the modern day. Their potions had been one of the most well-known in the supernatural and magical world. When an Alchemist has perfected every potion he or she can, it is time for their final project. And the Mickle's had one that had been passed down through the generations. The Potion of Immortality. Only one man in the Mickle family had ever been able to create it, and once completed it could not be replicated. Every attempt by the rest of the Mickle family has resulted in the person dead or mysteriously vanishing. Eustace decided to do the one thing his family didn't: he requested for a bodyguard to protect him while he completes his project. It just so happens that this bodyguard isn't anything like what he was expecting.

"Let's get one thing clear," Hanz said. "Just because I brought you to my place doesn't mean I want to have sex with you. It just means that I didn't know where you lived and didn't want you to pass out on the road." "I can't pay you back for your kindness at least?" Gene put on his best puppy dog eyes. Hanz hadn't shown any signs of wanting to go out with him, but he was too handsome for Gene to just let him be. He brought him to his home when Gene was way too drunk to remember where he lived, and even cooked him breakfast. And, somehow, a kitchen apron just made the man look sexier. "You can pay me back," Hanz smirked, those blue eyes glinting with confidence. It was enough to make his heart stop in his chest. "And how do you want me to do that?" He would do absolutely anything for this man. If he were in a cartoon, he'd be drooling by now. "Quit drinking." *** Hanz lived a calm life, with a similar routine. His home was calm and he never really thought to date. The only drama he really had was work, and it was enough for his life. He didn't want to bring any of it home with him. Until this scrawny man with way too much confidence comes into his bar and into his life. Hanz doesn't want him. He doesn't like him. But Gene keeps coming every night Hanz had to work, and keeps trying to get his number or ask him out. Hanz wouldn't care too much. He had dealt with annoying customers ever since he became a bouncer. But there was something different about this one. There was something different in how his friends always shoved drinks over to him, laughing the more drunk he got. There was something different in how those green eyes looked at Hanz, much softer than many in that town. There was something about him that made Hanz want to protect him. The more nights Gene spends at the bar, the more he starts realizing that there's so much more to this thirsty man than he originally thought. Standalone to the Impress Me Not series.

[Can be a stand alone!][Book 2] {Valleyside Pack} Milo Morgan is an only son, the only heir to his pack. He's expected to earn his title rather than inherit it and he's supposed to have an heir within months of mating. Of course, not everything goes as easy as he expected. For one, his mate is a male, Will. Second, he can't even get within an inch of his mate without having him try to bite his fingers off. Thirdly, he won't be able to produce an heir- not with his mate and he isn't particularly fond of having another carry his kid. Lastly, he isn't even sure his mate would ever bottom for him. Milo wasn't a bottom- fuck no. Not to mention that his mate was fucking sold. Now he has to figure out a way to stop whoever wants his mate and help him trust him. To top it all off, an Alpha acting submissive for his mate just looks wrong for others, weak. So with his mate hating his presence, the Alpha after his mate, and the humiliation of the other Alphas, Milo doesn't even know where to start. He does know something, though. He knows that even though his mate is broken, he can help pick up all those little fragments that make him trust once again. And in the process change himself, too. How hard could it be to admit he was a bottom? (You don't have to read the first book, but that one is Cody's story- it gives a little background of Will.)
