Sorcerer is a person who practices sorcery; black magician; wizard. Magic in the Philippines consists mainly of traditional beliefs that have existed for centuries. When the Spanish arrived in the 15th-18th century and introduced Catholicism, they began to blend ancient practices with their new found religion. Gods and Goddesses Like Magwayen and Bathala are still worshiped till this day but only a small group of people because of the country being heavily influenced by the Catholic belief. Many witches today use Catholic imagery in their craft, and most are regular to attend to the church. Witchcraft in the Philippines has now become a minority since then and its only done by few selected people. "Important note to point out" Mangkukulam is someone using Kulam. Kinukulam is the target of the Kulam that is casted. Nakulam describes someone experiencing the effects of the Kulam that is casted. Kulamin means to cast magick on a thing or person.
