Everything has a beginning and end, even love. Sadly, the same cannot be said for my people. We are humans, but at the same time we aren't. Our bodies are stronger, faster, and tougher, while we have a wide range of abilities humans can only dream of. Unlike humans, once we fall in love, it lasts forever. Spread around the world and separated by clans, we have fought with each other for hundreds of years over one ideal; Half of us believe in the ability to choose, while the other half wishes to enslave the humans and mold the world as they see fit. We are not immortal, nor do we live longer than the average human. We were once referred to as extraordinary, and so we thought of ourselves as so. I never thought that love's curse would ever reach me, until I fell in love with the heiress to the enemy clan. The worst part being, that if she did not return my love, I would slowly drift away into nothingness; A fate worse than death itself. My name is Cloud, and thus from that point on began my quest for love in hell.
