She murmured, almost to herself, "I truly am becoming more and more like her..." Her eyes remained fixed on the disciple before her, yet her mind was a storm of memories and revelations. So this is how she felt... Betrayed by the very one she trusted most. The scene shifted. His heart tightened as he scanned her face, searching for confirmation of a truth he dared not voice. 'Could she be... Kallen?' The thought filled him with equal parts hope and fear. The desire to ask burned within him, but he held back, afraid to shatter the fragile moment. If she wasn't Kallen-or if she was, and he spoke too soon-would this ephemeral connection dissolve like smoke? And so, silence hung heavy between them.....
