💬 Synopsis:
Thirteen-year-old May Crudence hasn't spoken to anyone but her older brother in years. She's selectively mute, an emotional empath, and tired of being seen as fragile. School is survivable-until Camila and her crew decide it's time to break her silence.
Zee talks enough for both of them. Fast-talking, jittery, and always smiling, Zee is May's closest friend... but she's also battling early-onset schizophrenia and hiding a lot behind that grin.
And then there's Isaac Panell. Kind, observant, curious Isaac-who may or may not be May's friend. Because sometimes he's laughing with Camila. Sometimes he's apologizing with his eyes. And sometimes, he's just... gone. He's the gay wild card.
Three teens. Three truths. One school where silence is dangerous, and secrets are louder than words.
