(Based on the unused story concept by Nick Confalone for Equestria Girls) While the girls face this troubling mystery, another truth lingers in the background. The powerful ancient Equestrian spell Sunset once cast to open the portal created an imbalance that was never fully resolved. Her arrival in the human world displaced someone, an innocent character we've never seen, yet whose absence is felt every time Sunset is on screen. In this version of the story, we'll finally uncover what really happened to the human Sunset Shimmer.
