Summary: ***this story is being revised on AO3 A story hidden in the past, no one really knows how Arthur and Eliza met. Despite its tragic ending, it had a beginning. One of love, hope, and an unknown future. Eliza Bloom was young and alone, recently made an orphan, and was merely trying to get by. Keeping any hopes and dreams that she once had tucked away, she worked long days as a waitress in the blossoming town's only restaurant in the wild, untamed West. Not being able to enjoy any of the pleasures a young woman was afforded, she had little time to socialize or see what the world had to offer. However, when a caravan of gold prospectors came into the town, she meets a tall, handsome stranger. She does not have any inclination as to how such an event, which was commonplace at her place of work, would change her life...and his. This is fanfiction expounding on the lore within Red Dead Redemption. I do not own the original characters or own Read Dead Redemption, which have been created by Rockstar. Eliza (Bloom) and Isaac are both my interpretations of the characters, as they were only lightly mentioned within the course of the second installment of the game's franchise. Alice Ford, Bethy, and additional characters that add depth to the story are my own creation. The story, all names, characters, and incidents portrayed in this literary work are fictitious. No identification with actual persons (living or deceased), places, buildings, and products is intended or should be inferred. Please note: not every installment is "mature," however, this is a fair warning that the themes in this story are appropriate for only mature audiences.

Arthur Morgan wasn't a man who believed in "happily ever after"'s. As an outlaw, a crook, a man with a bounty on his head, he didn't have time to dream about fairy tales. That's until a certain cowgirl, Jane O'Hare, flips his world upside-down, and changes his world in a way he never knew was possible. All characters belong to Rockstar Games except Jane Also particular scenes in this book and basic storyline/setting belong to Rockstar Games DISCLAIMER: I do not support all elements in this story, such as violence and gun violence, excessive swearing, alcohol consumption, etc., but its denial of existence would disregard its victims and create and unrealistic story.

The air above Valentine shimmered in the late-afternoon heat when she rode in - a lone figure on a black Arabian, blonde curls spilling from beneath a wide-brimmed hat, revolver at her hip and defiance in her eyes. She didn't belong, and yet she owned every step her boots carried her. In a town where whispers traveled faster than bullets, she was noticed the moment she dismounted. Some men saw a pretty stranger. Others saw an opportunity. But none of them saw her hand slide as quick as lightning, slipping coin from a drunk's pocket before he knew he'd been robbed. By the time the curses started, she was already gone - until the law stepped in. Hauled through the mud and into the sheriff's office, she held her chin high, walking as though she'd chosen the chains herself. She wasn't like the others they dragged in. She wasn't broken. Not yet. From the shadows across the street, a man watched. He didn't know her name. Didn't know where she came from. But he knew trouble when he saw it - and trouble like her didn't just ride through towns without leaving a trail of fire behind. The law said she was a thief. A grifter. A woman wanted from Cumberland to Saint Denis. But he suspected she was something else entirely. And when the dust cleared in Valentine, it would become clear to everyone: she wasn't just passing through. She was the storm.

I am currently rewriting this fic, so I strongly recommend to read the other one <3 We mark the year 1934 and a peculiar journal falls into your hands. It's telling the tale of an outlaw and the downfall of a gang. Some pages are torn and others are downright unreadable, but nevertheless, you are still able to make out some parts of the tragic story. With the help of a certain time traveler friend of yours, will you be able to save the author of the journal or will you be the cause for his demise?

--- "Do you have a name, son?" the man asked. Arthur looked up. No one ever asked. What was his name? Oh yeah. "Arthur Morgan, sir." "Dutch Van Der Linde," the man replied, reaching out his hand to shake. Arthur accepted it. His hand seemed little compared to the other man's. Soon after, Dutch's associate exited the store. Dutch stood, so Arthur naturally did the same, wanting to get on the men's good side. "And that would be my associate, Hosea Matthews!" Dutch turned to Hosea. "Hosea, meet this young chap here, Arthur Morgan." --- A RDR2 fanfic about the origins of Arthur Morgan and how he came across the men who would save him. Warning: Contains physical and sexual abuse and violence. If you're triggered by any of these themes, please don't read. Thanks! [COMPLETED] [Thanks for 16,000 reads!]

And finally, through the first snowflakes that started tumbling through the harsh wind, I spotted two silhouettes. Clad in thick winter coats, guns strapped to their backs. Each step filled with grim determination as they waded through the knee-high snow towards us. They stopped a few feet away. The taller man's eyes met mine. He carried himself with silent confidence, evident in the expression on his weathered, undeniably handsome face. Sky-blue eyes framed by thick brows, chapped, full lips, a crooked nose. An association lingered in the back of my head, but I couldn't quite grasp it, until I asked: „Who are you?" {-}-{-}-{-}-{-}-{-}-{-}-{-}-{-} Oh, the hatred that she holds for Dutch van der Linde. While running with the O'Driscolls for over ten years, this man had been the bane of her existence. Now, three years after leaving the gang, she gets lost up in the Grizzlies on the run from the bounty on her head. When she saves one of Van der Linde's men from a wolf attack and gets taken in by them as an ally, she has to face that hatred again. And then there's also Arthur Morgan, Dutch's right hand man, who won't let her forget either that they were enemies once. ❗️Currently undergoing heavy editing❗️ This story is a reader insert, but I avoid uses of (Y/n) as much as I can. Enjoy!
