(Book 1 of 7) *complete* I fell for Alberta Anderson when I was a teenager, she was my childhood best friend. It was a slow and steep descent into an all-encompassing love. To be Allies favourite person in the world, and yet to yearn for more...to dare to yearn for more. It was torturous, and before I would ever get to confess it, another came along who dared to be braver than me and fell in love with her and all that she was too, my older brother Ben. Ben was sensible enough to propose and claim her for eternity with a band of gold and a seal in our temple, all at the tender age of eighteen. Our church, you know that infamous one in Utah? Yeah that one. Their wedding day would mark the day I left Utah, the church and my family, the month I announced I was gay and was sent away... there was no room for gay here...and in turn no room for me. Allie wouldn't understand, my absence, or my silence...and five years would pass...painfully for us both. Allie had a child, I went to college, feelings got left buried, but thoughts were daily, and she never left my mind...not for a day, and what I didn't know was that she was in that same place...lost and waiting for me to return. And I would return... one christmas five years later... and with me every feeling and emotion resurrected. Our teens were only the beginning because the journey to Alberta was about to span through our twenties and into our thirties. A journey home. *** Willa Jameson. When I hear that name in church one Sunday afternoon, it is five years later, five years I've not seen her but the name stirs a pain inside of me still. My life starts and ends with Willa Jameson and she has no idea. Mature content marked in chapters with a * *Completed March 2022. The first of seven novels* *I DO NOT GIVE PERMISSION FOR THIS BOOK TO BE COPIED, OR ADAPTED ON THIS PLATFORM, OR ANY OTHER, BY ANYONE ELSE*

As the daughter of a legendary figure skater, she's spent her entire life striving to be the best-pushing herself harder, faster, and farther. But when she's forced to share the ice with Aurora Bennett, Camille's world is turned upside down. Aurora doesn't just glide on the ice; she owns it. Confident, competitive, and effortlessly talented, Aurora is everything Camille hates-everything Camille fears she'll never be. The two are rivals, both driven by the weight of family expectations and their burning need to be the top athlete. But when fate and the rink force them into close quarters, the animosity between them begins to shift into something neither of them can control. Trapped together, their forced proximity ignites a firestorm of tension. Camille can't decide if she wants to throttle Aurora or kiss her. Aurora's confidence rattles Camille's composure, and every touch on the ice sends sparks flying. But as they push each other to new limits, they find that their rivalry is just the beginning of something much deeper, more complicated-and far more dangerous to their hearts.

This book may NOT be reproduced, reposted, copied, or translated in any way unless you receive permission directly from the author. Felicity Rose Bennett has everything the world thinks she wants-chart-topping songs, magazine covers, fans who call her perfect. But the world doesn't know she's hiding. Burned out, suffocated by fame, and haunted by a stalker no one else knows about, Felicity flees to her mothers' quiet Toronto lake house just to breathe for the first time in years. She doesn't expect Harriet Johnson to walk through the door with a suitcase and a key. Harriet has spent the last four years running from her past-alcohol addiction, heartbreak, and the memory of the only girl she's ever loved. Sober now and fighting her way through med school, she only wanted a quiet summer. She didn't know Felicity would be here. She didn't know that sharing a roof again would feel like falling into a storm she thought she'd survived. They were childhood best friends turned teenage lovers-until Harriet broke Felicity's heart in the worst possible way. Now they're twenty-two, trapped by old history and new secrets, in the same house that once held their whispered dreams and first kisses. The deal is simple: her side, my side. But nothing about Felicity and Harriet has ever been simple. Not the history, not the wanting, not the way every look feels like a dare and every brush of skin threatens to set them both on fire. In the thick of July, in a house full of memories, two girls who once had everything will have to decide if second chances are worth the risk-and if loving each other is worth surviving for.

Anna Shumate is broke, unemployed, and completely winging adulthood from a New York City townhouse she shares with her friends. When everyone bails on her for the night, she does what any desperate extrovert would do: crash an exclusive art gala for the free wine using an old membership card left behind by a former roommate. She's almost caught and denied entry... until a cold, striking stranger slides in beside her and pretends to be her plus-one. Enter Sabrina Quesada: a fiercely driven artist with a sharp tongue and no patience for roadblocks, including Anna. But the universe (and the internet) has other plans. After their pretend couple act goes unexpectedly viral, Anna and Sabrina are stuck keeping up appearances for connections, clout, and increasingly complicated feelings. What starts as a one-night con spirals into a slow-burn romance neither of them saw coming. After all, the art of pretending is easy... until it starts to feel real. Kitty Cohen and Felicity Campbell are soulmates. Fliss has been sure of this ever since they shared a room their freshman year of college, when their friendship emerged fully-formed the moment they met. They've seen it all together: disastrous house shares; shitty post-grad apartments; too many relationships to count. Now everything's about to change. Kitty is getting married and Fliss didn't think she'd be this heartbroken. Levi's a nice guy. He understands his fiancée's friendship, and he and Fliss get along just fine, but he's just a guy. He isn't special enough for Kitty. But then a shaken Kitty turns up on Fliss's doorstep a few weeks before the big day: the wedding is off. Fliss didn't think she would be so relieved to hear that. Weird. The honeymoon is all paid for, though, so Kitty has a proposition: a girls' trip to Las Vegas, just the two of them and two weeks of drinking and overheating and exploring everything Sin City has to offer. Why not, right? Fliss has barely left the east coast and it's about time she took advantage of her company's unlimited PTO. It'll be nice to have an uninterrupted vacation with her favorite person. Then they get to their all-expenses-paid honeymoon suite and the hotel thinks they're married and it's easier to go along with it than explain the situation. It's not like it matters, right? It's a bit of fun. Until, slowly but surely, Fliss realizes her feelings are more than platonic. Maybe they always have been. And now she's stuck sharing a bed with her best friend, who is pretending to be her wife. © Elle Carrigan 2023

After losing her job and her girlfriend, it's time for Annie Abraham to admit defeat and move back in with her parents. She has hardly been back to her tiny Montana hometown since the unforgettable summer before her senior year of college, when she agreed to babysit for Laurel Jacobs. Annie didn't expect to fall in love back then, and she never thought that after all this time she'd still be in love with the woman she walked away from when she was twenty-one. Laurel Jacobs has never gotten over Annie Abraham. It's been almost a decade since their fling and she can't move on. She has her kids to think about - at least, she tells herself that's why she hasn't been on a single date since Annie left. Her life was different back then: when they met, she was in the middle of a divorce with two young kids and no idea how the future looked. Now she owns a bookstore, her kids are growing up, and she's too busy for romance. Annie thought she would have more time to settle back into life in Deer Pines before being confronted by the love of her life, but she's not that lucky. After all this time, she's back for good and Laurel is the first person she sees, when she has just spent seventeen hours on a train and she's desperately in need of caffeine. It's the first time they've seen each other in eight years and it isn't long before all those old feelings come rushing back to the surface. They weren't buried as deep as they thought they were. A lot has changed since they last saw each other, more than either of them realize, but life hands out second chances for a reason. The first time they fell in love, the timing was wrong. Now's their chance to make it right. © Elle Carrigan 2023
