She didn't exactly know him, but that doesn't stop her from feeling like there was something she could have done to help him. So to Hadley's surprise, on the very night of Archer's funeral, she has a run in with Death himself and is offered the chance to go back in time to stop Archer from ending his life. The catch? She only has twenty-seven days to do it. And if Hadley doesn't succeed? Well, she doesn't want to think about that.

Sixteen-year-old Mara Westray has just lost her mother, and now, being shipped off to live with the father she doesn’t know is not how she imagined grieving. She’s already counting down the days until she turns eighteen and can leave the tiny island of Swans Landing. But from the moment she steps off the ferry, nothing is as ordinary as it looks. Whispers of a haunting song on the wind make her see impossible things, and she isn’t sure she can trust her judgment about what is real and what isn’t anymore. Maybe she can’t even trust her judgment about quiet Josh Canavan, whose way of speaking in riddles and half-truths only confuses her more, luring her deeper into the secrets hidden beneath the ocean’s surface. As she tries to unravel the events that led to her mom fleeing the island sixteen years ago, Mara finds that the biggest secret of all is only the beginning. SURFACING is currently available in ebook format from Amazon.com, BarnesandNoble.com, iTunes, Smashwords, and other ebook retailers. Available in audiobook from Audible, and in print at Amazon. The first book of the USA Today Bestselling series! "Though much of the book is light-hearted and occasionally outright hilarious, the author sneaks in a few home truths along the way that will hit you where it counts, like how even someone’s best intentions can box you in." --Everybody Needs a Little Romance "This was one of those books that I kept telling myself one more page, then I need to put it down. Instead I found myself tearing through the book instead, needing to know the outcome." --Just Jump Book Reviews **** For Rose Gardner, working at the DMV on a Friday afternoon is bad even before she sees a vision of herself dead. She’s had plenty of visions, usually boring ones like someone’s toilet’s overflowed, but she’s never seen one of herself before. When her overbearing momma winds up murdered on her sofa instead, two things are certain: There isn't enough hydrogen peroxide in the state of Arkansas to get that stain out, and Rose is the prime suspect. Rose realizes she’s wasted twenty-four years of living and makes a list on the back of a Wal-Mart receipt: twenty-eight things she wants to accomplish before her vision comes true. She’s well on her way with the help of her next door neighbor Joe, who has no trouble teaching Rose the rules of drinking, but won’t help with number fifteen-- do more with a man. Joe’s new to town, but it doesn’t take a vision for Rose to realize he’s got plenty secrets of his own. Somebody thinks Rose has something they want and they’ll do anything to get it. Her house is broken into, someone else she knows is murdered, and suddenly, dying a virgin in the Fenton County jail isn’t her biggest worry after all. ***** Winner of The Beacon – 2010 Unpublished Division, Mainstream Category "Thirty-Two and a Half Complications" releases on June 24, 2014.

I bursted through the doors that lead to top of the roof, I was crazy I knew it. i walked to the edge of the roof and pushed myself up so I was standing on the edge of the roof. I looked down where I could see cars speeding by and small dots of grass that just looked like a giant green meadow from here. I finally removed my right foot from the roof and stuck it out so it was over the edge of the roof then I took one tiny step forward, and then I started to take another, but two arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me back onto the ground. Daphne has been haunted by the man that killed her mother right in front of her, while she hid behind a near by rock and watch from afar. Daphne is scared of a simple brush of the shoulder or hand thats until she meets Derek, Derek is the badboy of the school and its hard for her to believe that he is the one person she's not scared of, he could brush her hand or shoulder and she wouldn't scream in fear or flinch away. Derek wants to help Daphne, but Derek has one thing going for him and thats his image witch he cant ruin so he decides against helping Daphne and keeping his badboy image untouched. Sure Derek thinks it will be easy just don't go near her, but once the unthinkable happens he knows he has to help Daphne weather he looses his image or not. This is my first story on Wattpad.
