Nopei doesn't remember anything. Not her family, not where she's from, not even her own name. She was found, abandoned, near the village of ScarThwaite, a bare, rocky place where a few Vikings lived. The villagers named her Nopei, because she was quick. She stayed nearer to the mountains, where unknown dragons lived. A pack of SpeedStingers were there and Nopei eventually bonded with them. One of the babies of the alpha had been left to die. It had the marks of an alpha, and Nopei knew that it would one day lead a pack of its own. She decided to train it and over time, they left ScarThwaite to find their own pack. They'd gathered every SpeedStinger they could find, and yet no matter how they searched, they couldn't find Nopei's family. Finally, they heard about an island called Berk, and decided that if her parents were anywhere, they'd be there. Will she ever find her family? Or is she really so lost that she'll never belong?
