Confused but determined, she soon discovered that the Lloyd of this world was still a baby, abandoned in an orphanage. Her heart tightened. If he had no one to care for him, then she would. So, Koko infiltrated the orphanage, pretending to be a staff member until she gained enough trust to care for Lloyd as if he were her own son. Over time, the orphanage allowed her to legally adopt him. To Lloyd, Koko was his real mother, and she never had the courage to tell him otherwise. She raised him with love and care, teaching him values he would never have received under Garmadon's tutelage. Time passed, and Lloyd grew up in the orphanage, always protected by Koko. Until the day he was expelled. The directors claimed he did not belong there. But Koko would not leave her son alone. If he was going, then she would go too.
