A girl forced to live in darkness meets a boy who lives in the shadows. Aelia, a practicing High Elf healer, has a hidden past and uses her work to try forget it. She tries to avoid the dark as much as she can, but when she meets a certain vampire who is trapped in the shadows, will she be able to get over her fear of the darkness. Tav is a drow wanting a new start after spending her entire life in the pits of the Underdark. Astarion is a vampire spawn seeking freedom after centuries of being a slave to his cruel master. Both of them need to get to Baldur's Gate - but between fighting monsters, dragging their companions along, and falling in love, reaching their destination might be harder than they realize.

TW: Rough sex, some violence. (...) After Astarion's nighttime attempt to drink her blood in secret, Tav is confused about her feelings and is left with some of her own thirst to quench.

Astarion POV where Tav tells Astarion that she has found true love. His jealousy takes over and really puts his words into practice as he thinks about all the late-night trysts in desperate, needy, dirty thoughts.
