Ava Wilters is an introvert, who hates people, one of them in particular, herself. When Ava and Kyle meet at a frat party, the both of them don't get along, due to Ava's poor self confidence and Kyle's genuine interest in the girl he's talking to. Little did they know, that night will take a turn that will mark both of their lives forever.

"I really do love you!" He declares, but I just shake my head. "No, no. You've only known me for a week." I pull away. "Or, since the 5th grade?" He challenges with a laugh. I give him an astonished look, "You didn't even know I existed, you jerk." I walk back to the stove. "Oh c'mon, what do I have to do to prove to you I'm not joking?" "Kyle, please just leave." I hear him get up and walk out. I grab a glass then, walk to the sink to fill it. I take a sip, then slam it onto the counter, closing my eyes and breathing deeply. Before I knew it, a pair of warm lips press against mine. I open my eyes to see Kyle. He pulls away, his lips swollen, "There is that enough proof for you?"
