[[COMPLETED]] Go where your feet takes you Find what your heart looks for. No one is by your side. So the moon shall be your guide. ~•~•~ The moon was the only comfort she found, the only reassurance she could allow. The moon had shown her its soothing soft light, the only one who've seen her story. The only one who've heard of her silent cries. Elise Aubrie Winslow is a twelve year old girl. And the moon was the only thing she could rely on, the only thing she found as soothing despite the troubles she had. Nobody wanted to listen to her and so she closed her mouth for good. Nobody spared her a glance and so she was like a phantom wearing a mask to hide her screams and her quiet sorrowful wails. Nobody cared and so she learned on how to walk on her own, trying not to trip on her own two feet. Nobody understood her the way the moon did. But then she found them. And she felt like she was finally home. Like she finally knows where she truly belongs. And they stayed. They became her comfort. They became important. They became her home. Her family. Her moon. ____ Selenophilia (n) Loving the moon and finding it soothingly captivating.

In the attic of Jade's childhood was an old trunk, locked. And even though she couldn't pry it open, nor did she have the key, the muffled sobs coming from inside told her more than she wanted to remember. ☆ Winner of The Fiction Awards 2019 ☆ 🌼 🌼 🌼 ⚠️ Trigger Warning! ⚠️ This is not some fairytale about falling in love and living happily ever after. ❝I think we've lost the meaning of family.❞ • • • A few years ago, we tragically lost our parents, and every day since then, my brothers and I have drifted apart. We have intense defense mechanisms and our own methods of survival in the adult world. Our house feels less like home, the city feels empty, and the stars seem more distant. Will we be able to heal as a family? Or will we go our separate ways as adults? ▫▫▫▫ ▫▫▫▫ ▫▫▫▫ Cover is made by me.
