When the doctors at the Demon Slayer Corp examined her body for wounds, they didn't find any but noticed that she was very dehydrated and malnourished. Once she got water and food, she began regaining strength. Shinjuro continuously checked in on her because he wanted to make sure she was safe and was doing better, but the real reason was that he began seeing her as his own daughter. When she was fully healthy again, the doctors and other Hashira were deciding what to do with her. Shinjuro stepped up and said that he would take her. The other Hashira were shocked but agreed because he also had two other children and it would be perfect for her.
