Jonathan Morgenstern was supposed to be dead. Instead, he woke in prison under the Silent City with the Mark of Cain over his heart and very little recollection of what happened since the heavenly fire. Only his sister, mother, and a few others are willing to give him a second chance at redemption. However, dark forces refuse to stay down. Can the Shadow World learn to trust Jonathan to do the right thing and forgive him for his past mistakes? Can he? *New goal: I PROMISE I'll try to get a chapter out every ten days! That's every 10th, 20th, and 30th of the month. Seven days was cutting it short for me, so hopefully this gives me more time to have things ready. This is my first attempt at creating a full-scale fan fiction series of epic proportions based off of Cassandra Clare's The Mortal Instruments. Most characters and creative content are credited to her. SPOILERS ABOUND!: Most of my storyline gets its inspiration from the entire Mortal Instruments series and some content from The Infernal Devices. I strongly urge you to read the material if you haven't already and wish to know what's going on. I first began writing my fan fiction shortly after City of Heavenly Fire (CoHF) just came out. So, just for simplicity sake, other than an occasional reference to Tales From the Shadowhunter Academy, I try to treat all other work of fiction by Cassandra Clare as if it doesn't exist (ie. The Dark Artifices). The entire series I am writing focuses mainly on the character Jonathan Morgenstern. This is my version of what would happen if he hadn't have died at the end of CoHF. It is a redemption saga. My story borrows from the last few chapters of CoHF in The Mortal Instruments book series and carries on from there. Although I love and appreciate how she handled the ending, I just loved this character so much that I had to give him a second chance at life!

The Dark War has been won, and Clary Fairchild believes her time to rest has come. This all changes one night during a regular patrol mission, where they encounter a peculiar situation, and an even more peculiar girl. At first glance, Ember Valenza seems to be nothing more than a dreadfully average mundane. The thought is all but destroyed the minute she is brought into the New York Institute. It is quickly discovered that she has the Sight, and she shows skills and abilities enough to rival a Shadowhunter's own. What's worse, she seems to know too much about the Shadow World, along with too much information about one of the Shadow World's greatest and recently-defeated enemies-Sebastian Morgenstern. It soon becomes clear that Ember Valenza is no ordinary mundane. Her harbored secrets are revealed, along with a hidden gift, and new questions arise as Ember strives to take her place among the Shadowhunters. Will she be worthy enough to drink from the Mortal Cup and Ascend? Only one thing is for sure: the Morgenstern name is not dead, and its legacy will live on even after the death of its presumed last heir. Will Ember be able to restore the abhorred Morgenstern name and save Jonathan's reputation? Is it a risk worth taking, a battle worthy enough to fight? Will Clary and the rest of the Heroes of The Dark War help her through her journey? BOOK #1 OF THE OF ANGELS AND DEMONS SERIES

SEQUEL TO CITY OF SECRETS It has been three months since Ember Fairose defeated Jacob Ashwright, and the Shadow World has been lulled into a certain sense of peace, or so it seems. In the New York Institute, Ember is leading the seemingly perfect life-she is raising her ten month-old daughter alongside her fiancé, Jonathan Morgenstern, has her loyal parabatai, Isabelle Lightwood, standing by her side, and has the help and love of all of her friends and family, not to mention that everyone in the Shadow World seems to know her name and face. Ember is presented with new chances and opportunities, but finds herself feeling unsure of the ideas of the future everyone is creating for her. To make matters worse, a familiar evil emerges from the shadows, stronger than ever, calling Ember back to the battlefield. The hope of finally achieving peace in the Shadow World shatters, as does Ember's hopes of living a simple, uncomplicated life with her family. Suddenly the perfect life doesn't seem perfect anymore. Tensions appear in places she never thought possible when a person from Jonathan's past makes an unwelcome reappearance, shaking them to the core with a surprising revelation, and suddenly she finds herself questioning the only thing she never thought she would ever have doubts about. It's bad enough to live with secrets, but when shadows are added to the mix, darkness always follows, and, well- Facilis descensus averno. Yes, the descent into hell is easy, and if there's anything Ember Fairose has learned in the Shadow World, it's that we are all so much lovelier when we fall. "There were dozens of papers with complex numerical and alchemical figuring on them and even a piece of stationary that began with 'my beautiful one' in Sebastian's cramped handwriting. She spared a moment to wonder who on Earth Sebastian's beautiful one could be - Clary hadn't thought of him as someone who ever had romantic feelings about anyone.„ where Serena Aldergreen isn't Sebastian's beautiful one, but the one that teaches him the real meaning of beauty.

He discovers that he isn't completely alone and invisible when a young girl strikes up a conversation with him, seeming very used to spirits. There is more than meets the eye with the young girl and Jonathan finds himself very much intrigued when secrets come to life. He realizes that there is more planned for him ahead and Jonathan will have to make choices that will affect the lives of those he cares about. © 2015 by EndarkenedWarrior

Mia Herondale. Jonathan Morgenstern. I guess you could say they were similar in a way, feeling drawn to each other more than most. And through everything he's ever done, she's always there to help him forget and show him the better things. 'And it was as if she changed me and in the first moment since she left a long time ago, and since she came back, she's helped me feel lighter but stronger, stronger than I've ever felt before and it's such a native feeling but the feeling is so great.' -Jonathan Christopher Morgenstern 'I just can't believe how hard it was to believe he wasn't Sebastian, yes there were differences but I felt like I knew him more than I acctually did, and my feelings for Sebastian well they were strong but Jonathan, he's not as bad as people think, he's just lost and it's heartbreaking to realize all too late that I once knew him for him and not this monster Valentine has created out of him after I wasn't allowed to be near him any more. It makes me feel like I should have fought Valentine to get back to him, and I regret that I didn't.' -Mia Layla Herondale *Same TMI fanfic as the one on my main account, just being continued on this account due to loss of password to my main original account*

Sebastian is out for revenge, and he won't stop until he gets it. Now that he lost the first battle --which he very much intended to win swiftly-- he's even more vicious. And now he's got the help of what might just be the most powerful warlock to ever walk this earth. While Shadowhunter's continue to disappear, Sebastian is growing his army. And brother Zacharia is hiding one of the biggest secrets that could possibly cost them the Infernal War. Questions start to pop up about him. Who exactly is he? Why does he have so much concern about the Herondale's? What made him convert into a Silent Brother? With even more troubles, Maureen is out there and carelessly killing innocent human beings. She's snapped and has turned into a cold-blooded killer whose only concern is getting Simon to admit to being her boyfriend. Along with all these horrible things, Jace is still glowing. They're trying desperately to find a cure for the heavenly fire, but the way things are going, they just might lose everything. Will love be their salvation or destruction?
