Caroline arrives in the Glade the month before Chuck arrives, and is starting to get used to it. This is, of course, before Thomas arrives. The people of WICKED wanted to make sure that they wouldn't freak out and kill Teresa, so they sent in Caroline first, as a test. But when the Gladers receive a note saying that Caroline was just a pretest who will be taken away from them and erased from their memories, the Gladers refuse to allow it. They decide to fight against whatever forces WICKED might use to take Caroline back.
