With high hopes of leaving behind the horse racing capitol of the world, Lexington, Kentucky. With only two months of her school year left, she cuts herself off from her last boyfriend without even a second glance. Lennie learned the hard way that people leave. In the middle of her freshman year of high school, her mother was killed in a freak horse-related accident. Leaving Lennie with her dad, who fell apart after she died. Lennie learned to be self-dependant and cut the part out of her that had anything to do with horses. She didn't want to let anything like that ever to happen to her again. On her way home from another boring day of school, her car overheats and leaves her stranded in the middle of a mostly deserted road. She finds help from Brandon a graduate from her school that was two years ahead of her. And Brandon holds one of the last links to Lennie's horse days.
