You knew Carl from before all this happened. Your moms were best friends and would sip wine on your back porch while the two of you played pretend in the backyard. The day the world went to shit, you were dismissed from school early and Lori had to take you home. The beauty of fanfiction is that even if the character gets killed off, the fanfiction continues like such a thing never happened. You can kill off and resurrect the same character as many times as you like, because the version of the character thar you have created is yours, and not even an asshole like Scott Gimple can take that away from you.
